Events

Generosity Feeds

Every spring, hundreds of community members pack meals to help alleviate local food insecurity. These meals are then donated to our local partners: area food banks, homeless services, and weekend meal programs for students.

National Night Out Summer Festival

Every summer, we host a fun community event in a local under-resourced neighborhood to encourage public safety and help neighbors get to know one another. We provide dinner, games, crafts, and a resource fair for families in need.

August Angels Backpack Drive

At the start of each school year, we partner with Koinonia Foundation to provide school supplies and backpacks to children in need, within our local communities.

Thanksgiving Food Distribution

Each fall we package and distribute free, fresh food boxes to local families for their celebrations. We prioritize produce, dairy, and meat which are expensive, hard to access, and allow these families to create their own culturally-appropriate holiday meals.

Christmas Wishes

Every December we donate toys and gift cards to Koinonia Foundation so their client families can provide gifts for their children. We also host their holiday shop for families to come and select items for their unique child.

Community Partners

The Journey Church is our parent organization that Love Nova was formed from. Many of our volunteers attend here and we use the Journey space to host some of our events. They are also a generous supporter of Love Nova.

Koinonia Foundation is our local food and clothing bank. They provide emergency relief and social welfare services for our local community. We partner with Koinonia on a number of seasonal drives, including school supplies, holiday meals, and holiday toys.

Provision Cafes is a free community coffee and meal cafe for our homeless and under-resourced neighbors in downtown Springfield. They meet at Springfield United Methodist and offer free food, coffee, clothing, and social work services. Love Nova supports them financially and with regular volunteers and donations.

Key Middle School is directly across the street from Love Nova. We manage a food pantry on their property and collaborate to assist students in need.
Key also hosts some of our events.

The Springfield Resource Center and Second Story are located in downtown Springfield and provide social welfare services for the predominantly Spanish-speaking community there. We partner with them to host a summer festival and resource awareness fair.
